Change the World Wednesday
This week on CTWW a very important question was asked. Why do you practice green living? What are you trying to keep safe or protect? There are many reasons, but for me saving Spring is a big one. It’s my favorite season in New York City and it’s simply disappearing. For the past ten years we’ve often had relentlessly long, brutal Winters or Winters that go straight into Summer. A couple of weeks of Spring is just not enough. I would like to see all the magnolias bloom properly, the cherry blossoms get their time in the sun and the bulbs get their moment without being blasted by intense heat or frost. Not to mention all the produce that needs this season to be healthy and plentiful the rest of the year. Whether you believe climate change is behind it, there is no ignoring the fact that things are radically different and I’m going to do everything I can to see if we can get our normal four season back! So much depends on it.
